Year 2 Teaching Assistant – Full-time or part-time, temporary to permanent from September 2026

This Year 2 Teaching Assistant role offers the opportunity to support pupils during a key stage of their primary education within a nurturing and well‑organised school environment. The Year 2 Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, independence, and confidence, with the opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

Duties as Year 2 Teaching Assistant

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging Year 2 lessons
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis to support learning
• Assist with early literacy and numeracy activities
• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
